Client Testimonials
Drawn from our work across financial services, manufacturing, and healthcare engagements in Malaysia.
"The compliance gap report was more detailed than we had anticipated. What stood out was that the team clearly read our existing documentation — not just compared us against a checklist. The remediation roadmap gave us a clear sequence to follow, which took pressure off our internal team considerably."
Tan Hui Lin
Compliance Manager · Financial Services, KL

"We brought Consulara in to look at our supplier network across three factories. Their analysis identified concentration risks we had not formally mapped, and the implementation plan they produced was practical enough that our operations team could begin acting on it within two weeks of handover. Measured result."
Ahmad Mukhriz
Operations Director · Manufacturing, Penang

"The tabletop exercise was genuinely useful — not a theoretical session. The scenarios were specific to how our clinic operates and the communication pathways we actually use. Staff who went through it told me afterward that it changed how they thought about their responsibilities during a crisis. That kind of outcome is hard to put a number on."
Dr. Priya Vijayan
Medical Director · Healthcare, Penang
February 2025
"What I valued most was that they did not try to tell us what to do from the outside. The consultant took time in the first two weeks to understand how our procurement team actually worked — and the recommendations reflected that understanding. Nothing felt imposed."
Loke Boon Keat
General Manager · Distribution, Johor Bahru

"We engaged Consulara ahead of a regulatory audit we knew was coming. The gap analysis they produced helped us identify three areas we had been handling incorrectly — two of which we were able to address before the audit date. The auditor's feedback was noticeably more constructive than on previous cycles."

"The pricing was clear and stayed that way. We agreed a scope at the start, the work was delivered within it, and the final walkthrough session was genuinely useful — not a formality. We have already referred another company in our group to Consulara."

Case Studies
Three engagements that illustrate how the work unfolds and what it produces.
Challenge
Regional Financial Services Firm
A mid-sized financial services firm in Kuala Lumpur was preparing for a BNM compliance inspection. Internal review had flagged areas of concern, but the team lacked a structured way to assess their full exposure or prioritize remediation.
Our Approach
Consulara conducted a full compliance gap assessment against applicable BNM guidelines, reviewed policy documents and staff procedures, and conducted interviews with the compliance, legal, and operations teams. The engagement took five weeks.
Outcome
Eleven gaps were identified, rated by severity. The firm addressed four critical items before the inspection date. The BNM inspection resulted in zero enforcement actions — an improvement over their previous cycle, which had produced two formal observations.
"We finally understood where we stood, rather than where we hoped we stood."
Challenge
Penang Electronics Manufacturer
A Penang-based electronics manufacturer was experiencing delivery reliability issues from their tier-two supplier base. Several multinational customers had issued formal supplier performance notices over a six-month period.
Our Approach
We conducted an eight-week supply chain diagnostic — analyzing lead time data, supplier contract terms, inventory management practices, and procurement communication workflows. Twelve suppliers were profiled individually for risk and performance.
Outcome
The assessment identified two suppliers with unsustainable lead time commitments and recommended introducing dual-sourcing for three critical components. Within eight months of implementation, on-time delivery to customers improved by 23 percentage points.
"The phased plan gave us something we could actually start on without disrupting current operations."
Challenge
Private Healthcare Group
A private healthcare group operating three clinics in Penang recognized that their existing crisis response documentation — last updated in 2019 — no longer reflected current staffing, locations, or digital systems. Leadership wanted to address this proactively.
Our Approach
Consulara conducted scenario workshops with clinical and administrative leadership, designed updated response protocols across four scenario categories, and ran a tabletop exercise with a 22-person cross-functional team over two days. Total engagement: ten weeks.
Outcome
The group received a comprehensive crisis playbook, scenario-specific response cards for frontline staff, and a communication decision tree for media and patient-facing situations. The annual review framework has since been used to update two protocols following a staffing change.
"The exercise itself was more valuable than the document."
